Can I go with my friends?
NCS is a great way to meet incredible new people and make new friends! Over 8 out of 10 of our grads stay in touch after NCS!
If you feel you’d benefit from being with a friend, just get in touch after you have submitted your application and give us the full name of your friend (maximum of 3 friends). You and your friend will need to apply for the same date, go to a school/ college in the same area and add friend requests for each other.
Bear in mind we can’t guarantee that you will be placed together, we will try our best and you will find out on the first day of NCS!
Worried about going alone?
Whether you go with a friend or by yourself, just remember – you’ll meet so many incredible people and make so many new mates through team building activities and icebreakers! It’s the biggest thing we hear from our grads.
We allow a limited number of young people from any one school on each programme, and therefore the programme will be the first time many young people meet one another. Your senior mentor is also a great person to lean on when you are unsure.
Please note that the accommodation on NCS is single gender and any room sharing requests are not guaranteed and will only be confirmed on your first day of NCS.
“If you’re anxious just do it, there’s so many people and everyone is so similar…There’s so many different people that there isn’t any chance you’re not going to meet at least one person that you get along with. Everyone is so nice and there is no chance of getting picked on or anything. Even the staff are really lovely and they are good to have a laugh with. It doesn’t feel like school.” Eve
