What are the benefits of taking part?

How is it different to your average break?

NCS is a once-in-a-lifetime experience designed to help 15-17 year olds grow in confidence and gain the teamwork and leadership skills that employers and universities value. NCS is also recognised on UCAS forms and will help deliver a great personal statement.

As part of the NCS programme, you will get the opportunity to take part in exciting outdoor adventure activities. You will have the chance to make new friends and contribute to your community. For example, NCS gives you the opportunity to work in a team to carry out a social action project. You also get to plan your own team campaign to make a difference in the community and pitch for funding so you can then carry this out.

So far, nearly 500,000 young people have taken part in NCS – so don’t miss out: Sign up!
